Formerly CRA Ltd an established company since 1972, CRA (Edinburgh) Ltd is now well established and thriving since the recent split of CRA Ltd. We pride ourselves on being a young forward thinking practice who aims to provide a reliable professional service to ensure economic, creative and practical engineering solutions to all of our clients. We have successfully provided Structural  Engineering Services to a large variation of clients and Architects and have substantial experience in the design and management of projects covering the domestic, commercial and industrial sectors.

CRA (Edinburgh) Ltd are a member of the Structural Engineers Registration Ltd (SER) and can provide clients with SER design certification. Our staff has experience in the design of all Structural elements including foundations, reinforced concrete, structural steelwork, masonry, timber and also other non-traditional materials. Our designs are all prepared in accordance with the relevant codes of practice such as British Standards, European Standards and the Building (Scotland) Regulations.

  • David has an honours degree from Napier University in Civil & Transportation Engineering and is a Chartered Structural Engineer and approved certifier of design through the Structural Engineers Registration scheme (SER). David is a NHBC approved timber frame designer and is the Vice Chair to the board of Waverley Housing while also being actively involved in the Midlothian Council building standards focus group.

  • Mark has an honours degree from Heriot Watt University in Civil Engineering and is a Chartered Structural Engineer with the Institution of Structural Engineers. Having worked on sizable projects in both the industrial and commercial sectors Mark is an experienced Engineer.

  • David has an honours degree from Edinburgh University in Civil Engineering and is a Chartered Structural and Civil Engineer. An approved SER certifier of design, David is also a lead SER auditor and Scottish Registration Board (SRB) board member.
