Structural Design Using advanced 3-Dimensional software and the latest drafting technology we have the ability to produce detailed analysis and design information for major new build projects. Designing unusual structural forms utilizing a broad range of materials we also use more conventional methods of design to accommodate individual project characteristics.Structural Alterations We have a vast experience in making alterations to existing buildings. The buildings we have altered range domestically from single storey properties to multi storey flatted structures. Commercially we have been involved in altering breweries, major manufacturing plants and bridges.
Civil Engineering Modern Civil Engineering covers an expansive field of expertise. C.R.A. Ltd areas of specialization include the design of roads, drainage, SUDS (Sustainable Urban Drainages Systems), structures, geographical surveys and contract administration in accordance with current ICE procurement methods.
Investigative Reports
Working closely with local authorities, housing associations and property agents we
have considerable expertise in reporting on defective properties, domestic and commercial.
By means of written reports or verbal advice we can produce detailed information to assist in
remedial repairs if appropriate.
Certification Under the current legislation of the Building (Scotland) act 2003 all projects constructed within Scotland required a SER (Structural Engineers Register) design certificate in support of Building Warrant applications. C.R.A. Ltd currently boast three approved certifiers of design who c an provided this service, with both our Alloa and Penicuik offices approved certifying bodies.
