historic buildings project: Wester Tartraven

Wester Tartraven is the reconstruction of a 200 year old farm steading that had fallen into a state of dereliction over decades. The farm steading’s close proximity to a five thousand year old Scots burial site classified Wester Tartraven as a site of Special Scientific Interest. With the history of the area in mind this project employed traditional construction materials both internally and externally while embracing a certain level of modern design.
